"Pillow" This is a great example of my late friend and mentor Vasily's voice in his art. He often depicted people looking towards the heavens. He was very spiritual in that way, and yet playful in his compositions. This very affordable ceramic figure squeezes a pillow while looking up. What do you imagine she is asking?

Ever have a sleepless night and feel at wit's end?  This ceramic sculpture depicts a woman sitting on the floor, legs extended while she squeezes her pillow to her torso.  She looks upwards to the heavens, mouth slightly open... exhausted, frustrated, asking . . .

This is a great example of my late friend and mentor Vasily's voice in his art.  He often depicted people looking towards the heavens.  He was very spiritual in that way, and his compositions of motherhood and family often show his desire to receive good things for the future from a larger source.  This very affordable ceramic figure squeezes a pillow while looking up.  What do you imagine she is asking?
