Guardian of Firenze (Fine Art Print):
Guardian of Firenze depicts a view of the Palazzo Vecchio in Firenze, Italia, (Florence, Italy) from the Loggia dei Lanzi, a large covered stone porch full of sculptures. The lion is one of the older symbols of Florence and sits against a tall square column.
On the original, I added pastel only in the light shapes of the column, allowing the black paper to create the shadows. I left just a hint of the Palazzo in the background. This is a print of the original (sold) pastel drawing on black Roma-brand paper.
If you like lions, perhaps you will enjoy this painting, as well: Hope Lion, inspired by a statue in Madrid.
The image area is as listed and the white border is around the image, making the print a wee bit larger. Each fine art reproduction is printed on quality Italian paper. (The word "Print" will not appear on the print.)
I recommend framing behind a non-glare glass, with a mat, and simple frame. The color of the mat and frame should go with the color of the print. Care for your print just as you would any work on paper: do not display in direct sun and protect from humidity.
The framer should attach the print to the support ONLY on the TOP edge, allowing the paper to hang freely behind the mat. That freedom allows the paper to respond well to most levels of changing humidity.
