Human nature, as well as a masculine viewpoint were the inspirations of this figurative oil painting. Four women look towards a giant phallus as if in worship, hence the title Altar.
Vasily Fedorouk painted in a style resembling ancient drawing methods, the women full of triangles to contrast with the rounded long, narrow form of the male body part.
