Turning an ordinary scene into a work of art using extraordinary colors! This old olive tree in Tuscany leans in a strong diagonal away from the grasses in the field. Late afternoon sun caused dramatic lighting. This beautiful artwork has rainbow - like colors : turquoise, pinks, blues, yellows, some orange and red, and slight green.
I have been studying color relationships and with an artist I admire and like Casey Klahn, who says that he wants color to be the voice of the art, over tone even. This is one of my "experiments." I love how it turned out!
Mystic Olive Grove is a pastel artwork, designed to be a bit of a study in geometry and color that I hope that you enjoy.
