Vasily enjoyed making playful, naughty art, such as this limestone carving of a man masturbating as he looks through a peep hole in a wall.  However crude my description may sound, the sculpture is not.  You only see the backside of the figure and the sides, but rather abstractly, as the pose hides most of the detail.  You see, for example, the right hand rests on the wall near the long slit of a rectangular hole in the wall.  The left arm disappears between the man's legs.  You know what he is doing despite not seeing any actual details, not even his face.  Good art needs not "spell it out" for you.

You may see the artist's mark / signature on the upper left corner of the wall as you face the backside of the man.
