Part of Vasily's series of stone carvings of women's legs in the air, 'Black Legs' is carved from a black marble (marquina?) and features a minimalist, reclining female torso with voluptuous legs curving gently upwards, as if in the middle of a dive in the pike position, falling to Earth.
The shoulders of her torso touch the not-quite pyramidal form underneath. This allows an elegant and subtly erotic view of the lady's bum as the legs stretch upwards.
Vasily's art logo signature is carved on the base under the breasts.
A stunning tabletop sculpture (all one piece of marble), the soft curving lines of the female form are sure to attract attention and admiration. The stone sculpture weighs 37.4 pounds and will ship in a crate.
