Robert ~ Painting Celebrating the Male Nude Torso

Robert was inspired by the work of Robert Mapplethorpe. The painting is created in warm browns, mostly monochromatic with very subtle metallic paints mixed in for a bit of surprise, along with a line of strong color -- a nice large painting.
Always experimenting, I decided to add something to the male torso:
     I played with many different designs (such as a line of dots mirroring the curve of the figure.  I tried different colors (red even), and for some reason, I preferred the blue tapering line as you see here. When the work is titled on the side, the blue made me think of a river surrounded by a landscape of swirling shapes.
