I have been interested in bees ever since I was stung on the nose and in-between the toes within a ten-minute span when I was a child of around seven years or so. As an adult, I made beeswax honeycomb candles and later sold the supplies while giving away information on how to make one's own candles with beeswax. Bees work hard and are fascinating to watch! They are also in danger, threatened by the actions of man. We need these hard-working pollinators.
Here you see the light hitting the transparent wings with multiple colors. The bee is harvesting pollen from a beautiful white blossom of a Bradford Pear tree that I loved in my Texas studio.
