Conversation Couple Art Sculpture:
Figurative Couple Sculpture of a Man and Woman:
A real conversation merits focused attention. Ideally, the situation would be comforting and supportive of each partner in the discourse. In this sitting pose of a man and a woman conversing, you may see such a safe and affectionate atmosphere. They face one another, looking into each other's eyes, with sweet, intimate gestures.
The woman has one arm upon the man's shoulder, while her other hand covers his over her leg. His left arm relaxes at his side, affectionately touching her hip. The figures are nude, thus, vulnerable and open to sharing. If you look at his mouth, he seems to be speaking, while she listening attentively. They are having a heart-to-heart discussion. This conversation is a two-way street.
This charming sculpture would make a great romantic gift and reminder of either how a couple is or how they would like to be or remain. Being ceramic, it may be displayed indoors or even an outdoor garden area. The work is small and portable, so best protected from unwelcome guests if exhibited outside. Anniversary or Valentine's Day would be a wonderful excuse for giving art!
I hired a married couple that I know that are both artist's models. I like the triangles in this composition, as well as the subtle details of how the man's abdomen bunches up slightly as the woman's knee pushes against his body. I also love her little toes sticking out from under her left knee. I am trying to work a bit looser, with fewer details, while still keeping the basic idea. I hope you enjoy this one-of-a-kind sculpture.
