A Night's Promise ~ Print
In an Italian window one evening I saw a composition of a table set for two with the vase containing a single flower next to an unopened bottle of wine. It was a scene full of potential. It seems to leave more questions than answers, allowing one's imagination to take off. What will be served? Who will enjoy the meal, the wine? What will they talk about? And after?
I had fun with the technical aspects of painting transparent objects [note that the wine bottle is not actually there; only the outer shapes, labels and highlight; the rest is just the black paper]. This allowed me to play a bit with a minimalist use of color on black paper.
I hope you enjoy A Night's Promise and let your imagination run wild.

This item is a print of the original pastel drawing on black Roma-brand paper. The image area is as listed and the white border is around the image, making the print a wee bit larger. Each fine art reproduction is printed on quality Italian paper. (The word "Print" will not appear on the image.)
I recommend framing behind a non-glare glass, with a mat, and simple frame. The color of the mat and frame should go with the color of the print. Care for your print just as you would any work on paper: do not display in direct sun and protect from humidity. The framer should attach the print to the support ONLY on the TOP edge, allowing the paper to hang freely behind the mat. That freedom allows the paper to respond well to most levels of changing humidity.
