Oh Boy! Mirror of Male Nude Figures
This bronze mirror titled "Oh Boy!" is the first time I have created a functional work of art. While I carved stone (my Lips Series) during the day, I worked on the men at night. This bronze composition features five nude males arranged to create a frame around a mirror. The men are arranged asymmetrically and thus, the mirror is best hung on the wall. However, you may also prefer to display on a small table easel.
This bronze artwork was great fun and I even signed my name in the lower part of the frame in reverse, such that the reflection in the mirror would read correctly.
This is considered a bas-relief sculpture, which means the forms are compressed. (Most wall-hanging sculptures are reliefs, bas mean "low" in French. The other is a high-relief, which means the sculpture is more 3-d with less compression.)

Your choice of patina: Traditional (transparent) or the "tan granite opaque" patina, shown here as well. The easel is sold separately, but the mirror bottom is at a slant, so perhaps it is better to hang on a wall. Note that the signature is written into the bronze in such a way that it reads correctly only in the mirror.
Creating the Bronze Mirror:
The image below is the original sculpture in plastilina (an oil-based clay). A mold was made and then the artist cast each wax herself. The wax (shown below that) was chased and taken to the bronze foundry for casting.
