     “Umbrella, Parasol” is one of Vasily’s rare remaining paintings.  It is an oil painting depicting a woman in front of a red umbrella.  The figure is outlined with a black and then white border and painted as if she is an ancient drawing and yet, the work is very contemporary in style and design.
