Vasily's oil painting "Male and Female" is a lovely geometrical design playing on the balance between the masculine and feminine energies. Perhaps a courting dance? A triangle helps the eye travel to various points of interest. Between the two figures is painted an ancient symbol, a circle with a very simplified symmetrical cross with thin lines that flare at the edges.
These bodies remind us of centuries-old, yet also completely contemporary, geometric human figures. Clever composer and classic story teller, Vasily's paintings and sculptures are timeless in their beauty.
