The Blue Path in Essaouira, Morocco is a FINE ART PRINT of a pastel drawing (sold) that I did when I traveled to Morocco alone in 2013 March. The blue and architecture in this seaside town was strikingly beautiful. In this corridor of light, you may see bicycle tracks, as the footprints of many passersby.
This is one of 11 works of art on the architecture and people I saw in Morocco. See other works in the collection. Please contact me if you would like a different size than what is listed here.
This print will brighten any slightly dark or drag corner, or be a fun image near a corridor or your own. And this makes a great gift for travelers, especially those who have had Moroccan adventures.
The Blue Path - Essaouira Morocco:
Each of the three cities in Morocco that I visited had a different color feel to it. Fez I saw as mostly white; Marrakesh a deep pink, and Essaouira by the sea... this bright blue and white.
This image shows one of the many passageways, used by pedestrians and cyclists. I watched a fair amount of locals passing through this covered walkway white I gazed at the lovely blue. The original pastel drawing is one of eleven in my series "Passages ~ Morocco."
This is a print of the original (sold) pastel drawing on paper. The image area is as listed and the white border is around the image, making the print a wee bit larger.
Each fine art reproduction is printed on quality Italian paper. (The word "Print" will not appear on the image.) I recommend framing behind a non-glare glass, with a mat, and simple frame.
The color of the mat and frame should go with the color of the print.
Care for your print just as you would any work on paper:
do not display in direct sun and protect from humidity. The framer should attach the print to the support ONLY on the TOP edge, allowing the paper to hang freely behind the mat. That freedom allows the paper to respond well to most levels of changing humidity.
This print of bright and clean colors, the blue and white typical of Essaouira will make your space more cheerful.
